Greenies confused about the New Year!

What will bring us the year 2009? Do the true inhabitants of the large house return?

Will we finally fetched from a second parent ship? What is 26 x 2?

Do we become acquainted with new habits and hobbies of humans?

Do we turn blue, if we stay longer on the earth?

And how highly can a cockroach jump? Questions over questions!

The green guys know only one thing for sure. They will celebrate the New Year with a fantastic firework show and  DJane Sarlah Maggs!!! Friday, 2-4pm SLT. Everybody is invited and get a small gift!!! Join us and have fun on a gigantic extraterrestrial scale.

The PGA Stress Test Parties - Aftermath and Some Thoughts

Our first 2 stress test parties were a major success, which would not have been possible without a large turn out of avatars willing to expose themselves to the uncertainties of a new grid and new looks. A big "cheer" to our unselfish, bug-reporting test crowd thus! Where our first night of stress test partying could be described as 'crashy' - but hey, you can definitely learn from this too! - the second party was, as promised, more stable and smooth. We tested Greenies load, no-script Greenies load (a huge difference!), map teleport, bouncing heads, and hunted for more bugs (not those virtual roaches, this time).

Before I share some of my person conclusions - and pictures - on this subject, I'd love to share this great machinima of the 'Greenies' part of the Stress Test filmed by Zonja Capalini:

PGA - 2nd Stress Test Party: More Party, Less Stress!

Let me first say a huge 'Thank you!' to all avatars (and their humans) that enjoyed the virtual pleasures of crashing & woot-I'm-not-crashing last night... and then guarantee them we've learned and made a few adjustments that will ensure there will be more Party and less Stress this evening.  A quick summary of the 1st Stress Party would go something like: "Maxed Greenies to the crash, learned a lot and bounced around party-style at Rezzable 3. Oh, and physics is still a b*tch." Tonight - 1PM SLT also - we're aiming for: "Party! (and a bit of stress testing still)" The changes:

Greenies go OpenSim at Rezzable Alpha Grid

Rezzable is proud to announce the opening of our 'Rezzable Alpha Grid' - based on the OpenSim system - for testing by our fellow virtual world citizens, and invite you to take part in it. Currently we are running eight sims, including a replica of Greenies Home and a bunch of empty ones with plywood in them. Our stress tests will take place at Greenies OpenSim Home and takes the form of a giant party, with host Angelina Rhode. (Yeah, we've duplicated her too! ;)) Theme: Find the 7 Differences. Dates are Wednesday December 17th and Thursday December 18th starting 1PM SLT.

Greenies Home: "Spaced Out" Mondays are back!

greenies mondays are back!Alone under aliens! My order: Lift the Top Secrets of our green friends. I sneaked through their mothership, disguised as one of them. Spied their discussions and heard about a big happening, which takes place in the near future ... an invasion?, fishing contest? or the development of elastic space pants? I needed more information and continued my search. Suddenly a green alarm started to create weird sounds and all the greenies ran like frightened chickens through the ship. I grabbed one and asked for the reason. He looked at me with big yellow eyes, pressed a document into my hands and whispered in broken english: "Iz a surprize from Verde!". I was excited, opened the file and read the content .... Top Secret! Greenies only!

"Spaced Out" Mondays are back!

With live concerts, DJ parties, games,
contests and much more.

A Killer Masquerade Ball at Crimson Shadow

Fashion Inspired by Crimson Shadow has inspired more than just actual fashion.  It also inspired the urge to party!  Yesterday, Crimson Shadow played host to an invite-only crowd of revelers that included the designers who are participating in the event, bloggers, friends, and the occasional random but righteous person!  Achariya Maktoum

The theme was a "Killer Masquerade," and the guests certainly looked the part.  Amongst squeals of "Ooh!" and "Wow" and the ever popular "Hoo!," Lokum Shilova was kind enough to take some pictures while everyone was looking all fancy and fabulous (just click the link to see all of em).  Considering the technological miracle it must have been to take pictures at all with the amount of people present, I'm obliged to show you a few while I wax poetic about the party.

Crimson's 1 Year Birthday Celebration

Crimson Shadow - Fashion To Die ForHappy birthday to sim,
Happy birthday dear Crimson Shadow,
Happy birthday!
So we haz gifts! ;)

One year ago, I TPed to a sim that I had seen on flickr and was desperate to see.  It hadn't officially opened, but was still able to get in and look around.  What I saw stunned me.  Here, for the first time, I found a vampire sim that wasn't tacky or over the top in cheesy goth.  I wasn't able to spend a long time there but as I was preparing to leave, I was stopped by the manager asking if I was interested in dancing in the club.  Now, up till then I had no source of income in SL and was making my money by sploders (yes I'm a veteran ;-)).  At first I was a bit apprehensive, as most times in my association with clubs in SL, dancers also had to strip.  After having a brief conversation with the manager, all my fears were banished and thus began my career in Crimson Shadow.

Surfline's Bikini Contest Announces Winner

Velvet Beaumont @Surfline - Build your Own Bikini Contest (3)One of the hardest parts of running a contest is getting people involved, interested, engaged. Once the involvement is in place, then its keeping the attention and focus and goal in sight. In a virtual world, brimming with so much to do, see and explore, the question begs to be asked, "What event can engage guests?"
