Noobilty: The Most Complex Virtual World Art? Yes!

Noobility is certainly one of the most stunning and interesting art installation in the virtual world. Fly up a few hundred meters above the Black Swan area and watch as it generates and collapses. There is simply nothing else like Noobility on the grid.  Bettina from NPIRL calls it "what must surely be the most complex sculpture in the history of virtual worlds..." Exploration Diary by Greenie 42 - Week 3

For this one, I would like to thanks the audience of Bryan Baker / Kaklick Martin SL who said so many funny things around this song about Ruth and repeated the lyrics in chorus during his performance at Gardenstock. If you wish to listen to - or bump - Bryan Baker's song 'Ruth' you can do that here on the sixtyone.com.

Queen B - A huge 'thank you!' to Bettina Tizzy

The Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights would not have been possible without Miss Bettina Tizzy. With her inexhaustible energy, her NPIRL group that gathers the best 'virtual artists' and her huge knowledge of the 'Not Possible In Real Life' scene, she was the best partner possible for 'Gardening'. Without Bettina, the 100+ artists could not have displayed their work in the Garden of NPIRL Delights, and without Bettina, we would not have a Garden to stroll in, to explore, to surprise us over and over.

So on behalf of all participating artist, visitors and Rezzable:

Miss Bettina Tizzy, we all <3 you!

The Garden is a Metaverse Milestone: NWN

monkeying around at the Garden of NPIRL DelightsNice pick-up on the Garden and also some context for just how amazing the whole thing is!

Bettina Tizzy and her circle unveiled The Garden of NPIRL Delights, a sprawling continent of interactive art installations that could only exist in a metaverse like Second Life. A kind of Web 2.0-era Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney,...they have orchestrated wonders. Loosely inspired by Hieronymous Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights", construction began...[in April 08], and it's already flowered into a seemingly endless space of surprises.

Check the NWN post here. There is also a nice flyby vid there. But better yet...go to the Garden and check it out yourself now! Latest photos here. Tons more info and all the artists profiles are here on our little microsite.

The Garden is NOW OPEN -- hours of exploration and wonders! Go to the Garden Now!! Don't have an avatar yet?! Get your avatar one here.

The Garden of NPIRL Delights - T-shirt Collection

Our free the Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights T-shirt Collection is growing steady. It already contains entries of Soror Nishi, Gaynor Gritzi, Charlot Dickins and Vint Falken. Miss Dickins even went beyond 'tshirt' and made a very 'not possible in real life' skirt and pants to go with it.

You can pick up your free copy at the Rezzable Dump entrance to the Garden. Just click the sign and get some lovely colourful, NPIRL and mail T-shirts to wear when you explore the Garden.

Not completely happy with the current designs, or want something in your own style? Make a 'The Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights' dedicated T-shirt yourself then, and drop it - full perm - on Vint Falken so she can insert in the Collection for all visitors and builders to get one.

The 'Well.. euhm... I'd love to... but I'm not that great at making clothes...' excuse does not work: we have supplied an easy to use Photoshop template for creating virtual tshirts. Here you go for the tshirt template. Just follow the directions in this file, upload the .tga in-world and you'l have created a T-shirt in no time. And for those who aren't fans of proprietary software, it opens up in the GIMP too! ;)

Curious what Miss Gaynor's t-shirt says, or just staring at her boobs? I'll help you out here, it says: 'I sold my soul to the devil and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!' Needless to say, Miss gaynor's build is in hell? ;)

Bettina's Garden Visit Tips

Bettina's garden visit guide helps you take it all inBettina's Guide for getting the most out of your visit to the Garden here. She sums up the 4 most interesting 'ways' to enjoy the Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights:

  • Take the Grand Tour
  • Wear the HUD
  • Use the Nifty Landmark-Ready Notecards
  • Walk down the green glowy paths

Explanation and an elaborate 'how to' for each exploring way.

The most frequent comment I hear from visitors to the Garden of NPIRL Delights is that they are "overwhelmed." I understand this. Four sims filled with the works of over 110 content creators - many of them quite complex - can have that effect. I worked alongside the artists for weeks, and I am still discovering new things. The good news is that there are several fantastic tools to make this easier for you. If I were to take you by the hand and show you the Garden myself, here is how I would do it.

C'mon, guys and girls, let Bettina hold your hand!
