The GMF 2008 sponsored by Languagelab has come to an end. We had great DJ's performing, awesome live artists, lots of maxed streams and lovely gadgets. Now we want to hear from you, which performer deserves the $L50,000 in prize money plus $L50,000 worth of in-world merchandise. Crimson Shadow had the distinction of being the venue where the Global Music Festival sponsored by Languagelab concluded with a brilliant live performance by Dolmere Talamasca, Toby Lancaster, Mimi Carpenter and Maximillion Kleene.  The sim was packed with fans, DJs, and participants of the Captured Proverbs contest, with standing room only ;-)  Dressed as Greenies, Dolmere, Toby, Mimi, and Maximillion, performed such classics from Pink Floyd, Snow Patrol, and Jason Mraz.  After the performance, the winners were announced for the Captured Proverbs contest. 

Isn't there a song that goes 'all good things come to an end?' (Ah yes, by Miss Furtado) Well, the Global Music Festival sponsored by Languagelab was definitely such a good thing that's now after a month of music fun is ending. With more than 40 performers from all over the world we've definitely rocked the grid during the GMF!

We begged for more and more and it still wasn't enough. I got this Avatar song rattling around in my head now. If you missed this moment in grid history...too bad really, but you can still replay and replay and replay the song here. And of course the other wack track from Foolish--Prim in My Hand, the ultimate mantra for the virtual world builders. Foolish rocks and we are thankful!

It was a packed sim and of course a few surprise guests (who is that blockhead anyway?).

Rezzable presents the 2008 Global Music Festival live on the grid, sponsored by Languagelab. The festival is a month long showcase for live DJs and performers working with non-English based lyrics and international beats. Great sounds and energy will flow across the metaverse. Rezzable & Language Lab have come together to celebrate cultural diversity in SL by holding a Global Music Festival for the month of September. Throughout the festival, September 6-28th, Rezzable is sponsoring the 'Captured Proverbs' Second Life Photography Contest. This is not your typical photo contest; it is a celebration of the RL diversity that helps make SL special. This is your chance to showcase your Real Life Culture by taking the best photo in SL that represents something typical to your home country & culture: it's proverbs. Prizes are abundant, with 30,000L$ and lots of in world goodies for the first prize winner.
