Lately, people seem to blame Greenies for everything: extinction of the dinosaurs, high fuel prices, ... and now also inventory loss. I must admit, I did chuckle twice or trice, when coming across these photographs in Dakota Yue's Flickr Stream. Although Greenies only wanted to lend a hand - and hoverboard-, using their speedy vehicles for the purpose of helping Miss Yue sort her inventory & move without her getting back injuries, she all of the sudden started screaming: 'Hold the thiefs! This is an inventory loss plot!'

Jemima Kiss (is that a hot name or what...is irl name btw) posted in her xlent media column news about Flickr (our most fav platform all time) http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/jul/09/web20.digitalmedia Getty today told the New York Times that photographers typically earn between $150-$240 (£75-£121) for each rights-managed image that is sold, and $50 (£25) for a non-exclusive image. So, 1) gee whiz that ain't a lot of dough? 2) wow, they paying real money and not lindens 3) Hellman and Friedman spend a lot of money (2.4 billion) for the archive (=dead photographers) and not a lot of new ones! 4) if they ask me I am happy to sell non-exclusive hehe (er..link here http://www.flickr.com/photos/xlent1/) Getty maybe ain't the road to the millions, but beats nada!
