Merry Christmas (or the equivalent in your religion, or just "may thy gifts be pleasant and thou family members not to embarrasing") to all! For those who aren't on a well-deserved ski trip, there's a huge consolation: neither is your Greenies' crew. This means we've got quite some activities and contests for you to enjoy! Tonight you can join us for a big party on the Greenies kitchen table from 12 noon to 3 pm SLT (TP), hosted by Angelina Rhode with DJ Krakov Letov. Winners of the Greenies Virtual Holiday Decoration Contest will be announced and fabulous prizes handed out.

Christmas Greenie Avatars and tiny versions are in the Greenies Sim and its free for the first 500 lucky Greenies Lovers. These avatars are sooooooooo cute that will put you in the full Christmas mood. The bottles in the back are also a blast. When You click on them they play jingle bells.

So Hurry up and head over to the Greenies Sim.  The giver is placed in the shop area. TP there now....

Here's a little wake-up call for all us that think being inworld is kinda cool, from the venerable London Times Online we get this snarky insight into the future of virtual/online experience: "Of course, avatars are dolls, which must be ventriloquised by their cyber-parents."

Grey sky, cold weather and short days... All a bit bleh ! At least, it's Friday and weekend is not too far away. Retail therapy is always a great relief of mood swings. I know not for all but at least for me. I also love bargains and little samples you grab in stores. So I thought about the likes of me and set up great lucky chair items in each store in Rezzable sims and set most prices to half price for the weekend. While you explore and have fun, do stop by at the stores and check out what you might find for your taste and yes at Half Price :)

You might feel like in heaven like in the photo taken by Angelina Rhodes in the Greenies sim. Did I forget to say that the entrance to Greenies sim is now free and we have got amazing Live  musicians every Monday at 12pm SLT and regular fun games with lots of great prizes.

I just want to give you a taste of what we have got in our lucky chair in different stores.

In my spare time (such as it is) in Second Life, I like to go play at an 'immersive' Victorian steampunk RP sim. For reasons probably best kept to myself, I recently went in search of some Victorian underwear to wear there, which was rather less fruitful than one would perhaps imagine. I eventually found a place which had a fine selection of nice vintage undies, in my excitement bought altogether more than I needed, and proceeded never to actually publicly wear any of it. It got me thinking, though, two things: Firstly, for all the lingerie stores out there in Second Life, very little of it caters towards historical roleplayers, and for all the historical dresses to be found out there, there's little consideration for what could possibly be worn underneath them.

I'm going to let you all in on a secret. Well, it's not much of a secret, really, but, consider yourselves privileged nonetheless. I am terrified of birds. Their pointy beaks, their scratchy claws, their hollow bones, the frenzied way they flap their wings when they're taking off...There is just one thing that doesn't make me run gibbering to hide under the nearest bench when a bird comes within 5 feet of me. Feathers. Feathers are amazing things. The way they can be stiff and sleek, or soft and bouncy and warm, and the way they're constructed, tiny wisps and tendrils clinging to a central stem, waterproofing or insulating their owner, helping them glide through the sky. And they make fantastic fashion accessories, too! 

I am not really sure how to name Four Yip's 'Lune-atic Yipsie'. Is there any word for fashion which is that well thought of and complete that it becomes art? Or does any terminology exist to describe art that becomes wearable, enjoyable for the 'average' avatar out there? Not something 'stuck up', 'lookie! I'm an artist', but something that invites you to become part of the art, experiencing it, ... . Something that encourages you to spread the art by wearing it, and that then - opposed to a Keith Harris Tshirts - costs nothing? If anybody knows of a word for this, please share. 

It is Halloween and there so many wonderful freebies around but you can never have enough of these limited goodies. 

Kaeli Candour created these cutest ever greenies with a sheet over their heads with candy filled bottles. Yes tootsie rolls my favourite. Can't find them in London:(  They got the cool skull belt and when pressed on makes err spooky noises and lights up ! Also dont forget to click on the bottles awesome light show and more spooky noises.
