Fans have voted, and chosen their top 12 favorites to be shown in the Machinima Festival.  It was great to see people support the machinima makers and to perhaps find new favorites.  On Friday the 24th at the Cannery will be shown the 12 chosen machinimas.  Without further ado I will announce the top 12. 

With a landslide in votes Halden Beaumont took top honors for his beautiful machinima "Beyond Magic".  Next it was Mescaline Tammas with her fun music machinima "Duran Duran Second Life Machinima Mashup" featuring Duran Duran's classic songs.  Krrish Spyker's supernatural machinima "The Vistor" rounds out the top 3.  

I am not really sure how to name Four Yip's 'Lune-atic Yipsie'. Is there any word for fashion which is that well thought of and complete that it becomes art? Or does any terminology exist to describe art that becomes wearable, enjoyable for the 'average' avatar out there? Not something 'stuck up', 'lookie! I'm an artist', but something that invites you to become part of the art, experiencing it, ... . Something that encourages you to spread the art by wearing it, and that then - opposed to a Keith Harris Tshirts - costs nothing? If anybody knows of a word for this, please share.

Many of the designers for "Passions of Black Swan" were inspired by the beautiful art created within it.  Now we'd like to see how Black Swan inspires passion within your photography!

Black Swan Photography Contest:

Jonny Dusk of 5ifth Order has created poses inspired by some of the art within Black Swan.  We're looking for pictures that bring this art to life using these poses that are available for sale as part of the "Passions of Black Swan" fashion event. Using any (or all!) of the Black Swan poses, become your own piece of art for your chance to win one of three prizes!  You can submit up to 3 pictures to the Passions of Black Swan Flickr group. until 11:59 PM Sunday, September 28th.  The winning photos will be announced during the Final "Passions of Black Swan" Fashion Show on Tuesday, September 30th.

Rezzable is inviting top designers and artists to create their dream piece inspired by Black Swan, the phenomenol area started by Light Waves. Eshi Otawara has created a wonderful ballerina dress to kick start the event. Rezzable will be showcasing the work of the best designers in SL in a gallery space especially created for this event in Black Swan. The designers will be able to sell their work on a revenue share basis with Rezzable or commission the work to Rezzable. This time we would like to limit the creations to dresses and gowns along with their appropriate accessoiries. This exclusive event will take place in July. Showcasing the works will last two weeks and it will be promoted by fashion shows and music events.
