Hi all, I need some advice on virtual love! As you might know, I am currently engaging in a relationship with Miss Kryptonia, and don't be mistaken, I love her dearly! Although both our schedules are that busy that they do not always allow us to meet, I cherish every moment I get to spend with her.
Recently, I also proposed, offering her a ring with a giant greenies stone. A true token of love, no? But anyway, last night, when we had the Skatefest at the Cannery, I decided to offer my beloved a TP, and ask her to join me doing tricks on the half-pipe, listening to Aerlinniel's 'Tony Hawk' inspired DJ set and socialise with guests such as Rosie Barthelomeus, Beatrix Newt, Angelina Rhode, ... .
She replied to my TP offer and kind IMs that she was.. busy! To busy to come and see me. I was able to track her down on the grid, though. And there she was, at the Cannery sim: playing sexy animations for another girl. Indeed, for a girl, instead of for me! So I skated over and introduced myself to her lady companion, in the mean while trying to steal a kiss from Kryptonia. Both almost completely ignored me, even mispelling my name. They continued to striking sexy poses and making snapshot noices. Will you believe that? Sad and heart-broken, I returned to the Skatefest. Luckily Aerlinniel started playing some good old punk, and nothing that helps to get rid of heartache as well as real pain from hitting the concrete does. Gu( still... .
A few minutes before our 2 hours lasting party ended, Kryptonia decided to drop by and make amends. Being overly friendly to my companions, she made jokes, was lovely as always and stole the show. Until suddenly, she notices our Greenies Roller Skates! And the fact that those look way more kewl and play constant cute animations and have the most awesome tricks. Right, as you could guess, she wanted a pair of her own. I told her to go buy them - how else can we pay for reparations & parking tickets for our spaceship - just like all other avies do. She would even get a second pair for free delivered to a friend of her choise! But no, she fell on her knees before me. And started crying. And kicking. And being really immature. That loud that - I swear - they heard it on the neighbouring sims. Everybody started staring at us, and saying it was my fault that Kryptonia was crying, and that I should give her the skates. Social pressure, you know? Now I must say, if this would have happened in the privacy of my spaceship, I would probably not have given her the rollerskates. I think. But now it felt like I had no other option left. She kinda emotionally blackmailed me.
I now can't help but wonder: am I an extraterrestial wussie? Was I wrong by giving in to her and passing over a free pair of skates? Will this determine the rest of our relationship? Is there a future for the two of us still? I truely love her, but I'm not sure I want all this drama. Do I say 'no!' next time, and how do I find the courage to do that? If she enacts another SL drama scene in public?
