Happy rezday to You,
Happy rezday to You,
Happy 2nd rezday, dear Pavig,
Happy rezday to You!!!
Pavig Lok, today in SL exactly 2 years, is one of Rezzables respected builders. She laid down her first prim bricks for the Second Life hobo community: 'For me being a hobo made sense as... well, I didn't have a home in SL so why should I act like I had one. Land owners live one kind of dream, but there are others. The hobo community was about make do, a community that values creativity. Well this is the thing - anyone can create things in sl - so you want to focus on the things that are valuable to yourself. Different things for different people,'
Pavig goes on with a very interesting look on how Second Life makes us all 'creative types' by defining personality: 'So in Second Life everyone is 'a creative', but that means creating yourself - building your avatar partly by buying things that are lovely and partly by mixing and matching - everyone's got different levels of engagement with that. The hobo philosophy is that even if you are spending money, you're doing it creatively, to make fun for yourself and others. to refine how you appear, to make fun for yourself and others. You are becoming your own personality.'
When asked how she sees Second Life's strengths, Pavig answers very self assured: 'Second Life has a lot of strengths that haven't been realized yet. But the biggest strength? Definitely connecting people.' She points out that communication is possible and perceived through more channels than just chat or voice: 'You own yourself in Second Life - it's less anonymous than you realize. For example people watch your body language, they know when you're checking your inventory or browsing the web. You are more who you are than you realize here.
PS. Don't forget to - if you stumble across her on the grid today - offer Miss Pavig a huge animated hug or three - innocent! - kisses for her 2nd rezzday!
