Greenies at SL5B, Big Bang Birthday Cake!

Should you still wonder who the cute little green alien, stuffing himself with cake on the secondlife.com front page and the blog.secondlife.com sidebar is, you do not spend enough time in the virtual world. Definitely not enough virtual playtime for you! But we'll tell you none the less: it's one of our Greenies. 'Greenies?' you say. Yep. Savvy, curious aliens, which crashed in the virtual world, have to much fun to attempt to go home and live in a giant house at Greenies Home (click to TP), only recently landed in their tiny form at Tiny Shotengai and now could not 'not join' the Second Life 5th Birthday Event. The parking - as usual, went a little in the miss, when they hit the giant birthday cake Cook Greenie took that long to craft. But it still tastes great, as you can see.

The Church of Greenies

Greenies at SL5B? Now what may little Green aliens have to share with the virtual worlds community? There is no instant 'How to turn Green' story. That's a long process of learning and understanding, althouhg purchasing a Greenies avatar might help! ;) So Greenies are presenting the Church of Greenies: their look on life(s) and all that takes part of it. As they figured a demonstration is more effective to show their ideals and beliefs than any texture on a prim could be, they have a rather busy schedule for the two weeks of SL5B celebrations:

2. Solemn Oath of Fun Ceremony - Tuesday 6/24 - 8AM to 10PM SLT (with Barley Oh and Beth Nemeth)
3. The Prophet LT Delivers a Vision - Wednesday 6/25 - 12PM to 2PM SLT (with Prophet LittleToe Bartlett, Geoff Pichot & Aerlinniel Vella)
4. Live Green and Prosper - Thursday 6/26 - 7PM to 8PM SLT (with Laurelle Benoir, Angelus Capra and Adica Morrisey)
5. Abduct, Probe, Assimilate training - Friday 6/27 - 10PM to 12AM (with Barley Oh, Aerlinniel Vella and Freya Blessed)
6. Reverend Rimbaud's Sermon at the Church of Greenies - Saturday 6/28 - 8AM to 10AM SLT (With nice disco sounds, Reverend RightasRain Rimbaud, Janis Ferraris and Beth Nemeth)
7. TBD - Sunday 6/29 - 5PM to 6PM SLT (With Laurella Benoir, Immortalus Blessed and Adica Morrisey)

Enlist to Zap roaches!

But that is not all. As in most cases, religion and warfare seem inseparable: Greenies suffer from a plague of roaches in their kitchen, and thought of SL5B as an excellent opportunity to warn people for the danger that virtual cockroaches can be, and to enlist new snipers for keeping the roaches from spreading all over the grid. 1 year of Greenies and a Robotic Gift

Religion is also about reflection: stand still to what you already achieved and what your plans are for the future. Greenies are doing that with a giant book that contains their most beautiful, fun, amazing, heartwarming, and 'LMPAO' moments from 1 year of Greenies Home. Make sure to take a look. You wish to take a memorabilia home? Of course, that is possible. As a gift for the celebration of 5 years 'real virtual world', those green creatures we love so much made us tiny little robots to play with. Wear them or rezz them on the table at your virtual home. Not sure how to get one? Just click the big 'mommy' robot, and you'll get a tiny version.

Accommodation: Camping & Marsmellows

Just hungry - or tired - after a whole day of visiting SL5B exhibition sims? No problem, Greenies build temporary lodgings at the entrance of their builds, and you're welcome have a quick nap, sit around the camp fire, roast some Marsmellows, or to fetch your piece of birthday cake.

English & Japanese & Crop Circles

As we are joined by our newly made friends from Tiny Kingdom, right across the SL5B streets, Greenies are doing their best to speak both English and Japanese. Bear with them should they make little mistakes, they are still learning! 'And the crop circles, what do they mean?' you say? Honestly, Greenies can not read those themselves any more either. After they tuned applied the necessary fixes to their space vehicle, they found their usual patterns have changed. Their best guess at what it means now, is: 'Live Green and Prosper, and party hard!' ;)
