The Skybox Project- Open Call for Launch Comes to a Close

Things in SL
Will Be Looking Up

As everyone cranes their virtual necks to see the fantastical environments generated by the Rezzable Skybox Project.

Thanks to all of the creators who contributed to the open call at the Imagine Sandbox- we've reached maximum prim capacity with all of your wonderful ideas!

The skybox team has been busy evaluating your submissions, and we've had a heck of a time choosing a contest winner from all of the interesting and creative builds you've left for us.

Fortunately, this is just the start of a much bigger endeavor, and if your entry did not qualify for the project launch, there's still plenty of time to develop your idea. Look for Rezzable Creators Group notices in the coming weeks for more information.

So- without further ado, the contest winners are:

1st Place- Rob Balder - 15,000L

2nd Place- Kitsune Kyomoon - 5,000L

3rd Place- Sene Kappler - 2,500L

Each winner will be awarded a prize in Lindens and the opportunity to have their skybox put into production for sale by Rezzable.

Individual entrants will be contacted by the skybox team and given further instructions about what to do if they'd like their skyboxes to be considered for production by Rezzable.

A collection of photographs from the sandbox contest can be found at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/825036@N25/pool/

Thanks again to everyone for such a lovely and inspiring turnout!

Keep watching the blog for upcoming news about the project launch!

Thanks to all participants!

Thanks to all participants! Some really xlent ideas and builds. It is one thing to build a building--it is another thing entirely to create an immersive space. A virtual place that changes your mood and adds value to your inworld time. I think it is a combination of vision, details and solid building techniques. Of course we also love all the imagination that takes a normal scene and makes it unexpectedly fun to to discover.

and btw...the Infra Red

and btw...the Infra Red Garden photo'd here is now a new Rezzbox, and Rob Balder made a really xlent Japanesse Tea House for virtuality-- check them here http://rezzable.com/rezzbox .
