A Diary of Rezzbox Adventure

Unearthed here, for the very first time, is the long-lost diary of Lazarus Charron, high-seas adventurer, explorer of sims and of the grid at large. Given a quest to locate the highest quality skyboxes in all of Second Life, he set out more than week ago to satiate his desires. He was never heard from again. Here, on this very page, is the unedited, unaltered, copy of his own personal journal detailing his journey and the discoveries therein. Be warned! Some of this material may be shocking, and some of it may be enlightening, for it contains knowledge of the legendary Rezzbox! Be warned. This is not a tale for the lighthearted.

Thursday, October 16th:
At last! Today may finally be the day when my most sacred quest will come to an end. Long have I searched the many shores of Second Life for a high-quality, extremely detailed, skybox to call my own. I have been everywhere, to the some of the seediest areas on the grid, gathering information and putting together a string of clues that began to reveal themselves to me. These clues proved useless, as on the horizon, I can see Cascade Rezzable, what may be my final port of harbor. It is an icy land, and it chills my heart to see it from where I am, but on high I can see a slew of high-quality skyboxes, known as Rezzboxes, which beckon to me ever so sweetly. Could this be the end of my quest? Could this be what I have searched for my whole second life? More later, when I have approached them…

Friday, October 17th:
Victory! I have reached the top of the craggy plateau and around me, arranged in a circle, are all of the high quality skyboxes I could ever possibly need. Created by some of the most enterprising and engaging artists and designers in all the land, they are the pinnacle of design and function, absolutely beautiful and sublime. Each has its own individual theme and arrangement, thus allowing the appeal to reach a larger number of people. Enjoy Japanese culture? Pick up the Japanese Teahouse by Rob Balder and live in your very own oriental style home. A bit on the eccentric side? Well, try out your very own massive junk drawer, courtesy of Pavig Lok! The possibilities are truly endless, and there is one for every taste and every style. One in particular called to me, known as Infra-Red, created by Sene Kappler. I could not help myself. Drawn to it as I was I was whisked away into it and found myself floating on a sea of surreal colors, separated from what I considered normal. I am still a bit disoriented by my surroundings, so I go to explore them now.

Saturday, October 18th:
This place, my new home, is astounding. It is composed of a slew of colors, yellows and blacks, forming a surreal forest around me. At the center of it, a shimmering pool rocks slightly from side to side, as if wanting me to approach, but I dare not. There is a wooden chair, a throne, which fits me quite comfortably, around which a bunch of tree stumps jut out, presumably so others can sit with me. Mushrooms jut out of the ground and behind them, blades of ethereal grass sway in the non-existent breeze. There is a mirror, above which a lone rain-cloud drizzles. The mirror is made out of water, and I can’t see myself in it very well, but something is certainly lurking beneath the surface. It is a bit lonely here, but I haven’t quite figured out how to get out of here yet. I almost don’t want to leave, however. It’s beautiful here. Absolutely beautiful.

Sunday, October 19th:
The pool TALKS. I know it sounds crazy, but if I consider something to myself and then approach the pool and click on it, it tells me things. Like a magic eight ball, almost, but in green text. It’s astounding. Any query is answered with how likely the result is to happen! I asked it if I will have some companions soon, and it said that the outlook was bright, but so far, I’m still alone.

Wait! I hear something. Footsteps…

Monday, October 20th:
Salvation! Three very lovely ladies, including Rezzable blogger Adaire DeCuir, the owner of EBT, Stormy Wilde, and my good friend and fashion fiend Fallon Claymore have arrived to keep me company. They have been given a tour of my new home, and we are now talking about doing things to keep us occupied. I think I heard talk of ‘body-shots’ and, well, some more risqué things that I think are best left to the imagination. I must run now, however, as they’re waiting for me. And I never keep ladies waiting, not for anything. More tomorrow, hopefully! Oh ladies, here I come…

That is the last entry of the diary, which was discovered floating adrift near Cascade Rezzable on Tuesday, the 21st. What could have happened to our stalwart hero? Who knows. Will this cause others to seek out the mystical Rezzbox? We certainly hope so. For carrying a slice of the grid around with you, and a very detailed, extremely fantastic slice at that, there’s nothing better.

Moi?  A fashion fiend?  Non,

Moi?  A fashion fiend?  Non, I'm a Diva.  A Queen.  An Empress even.  And I'm ever so humble and pretty.

I'm still waiting for the aforementioned unmentionable activities.  Rawr.

The rezz box really is

The rezz box really is amazing and such a perfect place to retreat.  Thanks for inviting me there!  Great post!

Try moving the furniture

Try moving the furniture around and then saving the positions. It should be like you left it then when you rezz it next.
