Rebecca Edwards and Poison Candy Studio

"Poison Candy was officially born in 2001, shortly after I graduated from the fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I had just moved to New Orleans and was spending my free time working as a freelance costume designer. I was at a loss as to what name I should design under...It had to be something catchy, something that would sum up what my work was all about. After careful contemplation, it finally came to me - Poison Candy! My influences range from vintage inspired cuts to campy, vampy prints, so the name was the perfect combination of naughty and nice, personifying the duality of something sweet, yet dangerous."

"After spending a couple of years living in New Orleans, I felt that it was time to move on. I had already lived in Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, so why not give Las Vegas a try? As soon as I arrived in Sin City, I knew I was home!"

Made in Las Vegas

Poison Candy Studio"In 2003, poisoncandyfashion.com came to the internet, taking my strictly custom clothing line to an full collection. Within months of opening the website, I was no longer able to keep up with all of the orders and had to seek outside help. I was so happy to find a wonderful factory located within miles of my home that could sew for me, although I still insist on creating all custom orders, hair accessories, and hats myself. I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with some amazing artists to create our jewelry line and screen printed artwork."

So there you have it...Made in fabulous Las Vegas, Poison Candy is designed for fashion forward retro vixens. So put on a pretty dress and get ready to rule the world!

XOXOXO,
~Rebecca
