Halloween is coming! Do you have a costume yet?

The Greenies may "Green the Grid," but SL Residents are all about the orange when Halloween rolls around.   Costumes and spooky decorations along with all things pumpkin are popping up left and right.

I'm getting pumped for Halloween in SL myself.  The virtual world is a fantastic place to celebrate the holiday. You don't have to go into temporary Halloween stores advertised by a scary giant clown holding a sign by the highway. You don't have to pay $50 US for something mostly made of vinyl and itchy felt that you'll only wear once, and you'll only wear drunk because it's ridiculously skimpy. You can do so much more with your avi, who isn't confined by the limits of hair spray and doesn't have to worry about uncomfortable shoes!

You're sure to have a few parties where you'll want to win best prize for your costume, or even just impress your friends while you cruise the Halloween-themed sims.  If you're anything like me, the sheer volume of possibilities of what you could choose to be can seem overwhelming.  For the next few weeks, I'll be posting a few costume ideas to get your creative juices flowing and show you how Crimson Shadow can make it a little easier.

Draconic Lioncourt designed several outfits and skins for Crimson Shadow.  Two of them in particular are ripe with Halloween possibilities.  Aemilia Case thought so too, and I have her to thank for these fantastic pictures she took while inside the sim.

This first outfit transforms "jester" from silly to sexy with Draconic's take on this popular archetype.  The body-hugging, cherry red latex melts into over-the-knee "f me" boots with killer heels.  (Ok, so that's not entirely proper language on my part, but everyone knows what "f me" boots are.  Yummy!)  The headpiece gives it an edginess to play off of the naturally va va voom side of latex.  Anyone wearing this to a party will find that all eyes will be on them - it's just that sexy and unique with a hint of playfulness.

The second outfit is called "Victorian" by Draconic.  It has two skirt options, latex stockings, and ruffles that you can mix and match to create your own sassy Victorian themed costume.  Aemilia's "Delphini" hairstyle is from her shop, Philotic Energy, and gives "Victorian" an artful edge that contrasts beautifully with the lace and latex.

You can find both of these at the Crimson Shadow boutique, along with other fantastic dresses and costumes that make it  a one stop shop for Halloween attire.  Stay tuned for more posts featuring clothing from Crimson Shadow and some of the other Rezzable sims as we get closer to Halloween, and for exciting news about the upcoming Halloween fashion show!
