When Clio Cardiff was looking for inspiration to create her "Passions of Black Swan" dress, she found it at the very heart of the sim. Her gown "Embrace" came from the statue in the middle of Black Swan depicting a man and a woman tightly holding each other. The statue is one of the many pieces from Light Waves. This master of prim sculpture first envisioned Black Swan and gave it life, especially with his towering statues placed within it like the one Clio loves.
Be "Embraced"
The gown itself embraces the wearer with a intricately detailed corset meeting vibrant, flowing skirts. The panels of the skirt drift slowly and gently as if a breeze were blowing from off the crystal green-blue water of Black Swan. She created three different colored versions of her gown called "Passion," "Darkness," and "Dream." The rich hues are bold, and yet the dress evokes a softness in how it frames the female form. Each dress also features two different colors and textures because as Clio herself says, "It takes two to make an embrace." Bare shoulders, puffed sleeves, and a flowered choker make "Embrace" a complete and very stunning look for any woman who wants to set herself apart from the rest.
The models pictured here are from Timeless Modeling Agency showing off (from left to right) the Passion, Darkness, and Dream versions of the gown from the first Passions of Black Swan fashion show. The models are also wearing Tuli Asturias' Black Swan skins designed especially for "Passions of Black Swan" in the "Light" tone. The hairstyle is from Aemilia Case of Philotic Energy's main collection, called "Aloysia." Thanks to SerinaJane Loon for this picture and the other gorgeous shots you can find posted to her Flickr account.
Consumed by "Lava"
Like Clio, Samsara Nishi was also influenced by Light Waves' legendary statues. The prisoner angel and the Nightdreamer sculptures mixed with the imagery of Black Swan's burning lava in Sam's mind to inspire her "Lava" ensemble. She created this dress to give fellow fiery souls their choice of wear options. A short, medium, and long look are available for purchase separately or in one package together. The main theme throughout every option is the fiery effect of the sequined that flows over the skirt with a sequined ribbon. The lace of the skirts evokes the black feathers of the swan, creating a breathtaking look that very much reflects Black Swan.
The dress is shown with Aemilia Case's "Lysa II" hairstyle in Rebel that is available at Philotic Energy and comes with optional color-change hair sticks. Tuli's Black Swan skin with the "Fire" makeup in the "Fair" shade perfectly compliments the fiery nature of the "Lava" dress.
Both of these dresses are available exclusively at Black Swan by "following the path" from the entrance and riding the red feather towards the vendor area until September 30th.
