Examples of Unauthorized Usage
Objects purchase within the Second Life platform are only for use within Second Life under the terms of use of that object listed at the time of purchase. So, you cannot copy an object if it is sold no-copy even if you or someone else does something to alter the digital rights management (DRM) of that object. You are not allowed to port any of our materials to the Teen Grid or any other virtual world.
Violations will occur in many ways, so better to be clear about what is approved before you proceed on any capturing or reproduction of object(s) inworld or on the web. You will violate our copyrights and trademarks by reproducing our assets including doing the following: ripping textures and making new objects, reverse engineering our objects and pulling out components (like scripts, textures, animations)and then distributing them or selling them in anyway, using our brands, logos or trademarks on your work. We view these type of violations very seriously and reserve our rights for any actions against offenders. Even though you may have access to our assets on your pc somehow, you can use that data freely.
Photography, Machinima and Press
For all Rezzable operated sims goes: Photos and movies for non-commercial and press use are allowed when proper attribution to Rezzable for creating the location(s) is given, for other reproductions and commercial use contact Rezzable. Standard, we offer you a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.0 UK license for photographing and filming our content. This means that:
You are allowed:
- to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
- to make derivative works
Under the following conditions:
- Attribution. You must give the original author credit.
- Non-Commercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
- Share Alike. If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under a licence identical to this one.
